The life of your jeans can be infinite.
In the last 20 years alone, global clothing production has tripled with more than 100 billion garments marketed annually. It is estimated that some of these are discarded after only seven to ten times of use.
This equates to more than 500 billion euros a year in economic loss due to poor under-utilisation and lack of recycling of garments.
The Circular Economy offers us new possibilities to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the planet. In addition, it is estimated that the global economy will benefit by €160 billion by 2030 if we follow this business model.

Repair

Did you know that the lifespan of a pair of jeans can be as long as 8 years?
How old are yours?

Denim is a strong fabric generally made of cotton, sometimes with other fibres such as polyester or elastane to give it flexibility depending on the style you want to create.
Despite being a durable fabric, the average life of a jean has been reduced to 3 years due to the fast-fashion system.

We offer the repair service because we want to democratise the circular economy.
An important aspect to carry out this action is the proximity. If you are in Barcelona, you can go directly to our Factory Store at Calle Bruc 5, 08010.
If you know tailors, seamstresses or workshops near you, we encourage you to choose to repair with them and thus save the CO2 emissions associated with the transport of the shipment.

According to the Catalan waste agency, the average family spends up to 8% of its annual salary onclothing.
By opting to have your jeans repaired, you amortise the financial cost of a quality garment.
If instead of repairing you had decided to discard your trousers, assuming you repaired them every X years, you would have ended up spending a total of Y vs. Z per year. # times more.

The complexity of the fashion industry's supply chain does not allow for precision traceability.
For reasons like this, prices do not reflect the real effort and resources behind each item of clothing. Nowadays, the end consumer is so disconnected that we don't even realise that the item we buy has passed through more than a dozen hands. All of them earning a small percentage of that final price.
All of them, earning a small percentage of that final price. The closer to the bottom of the pyramid, the less recognition there is for their efforts. From the cultivation and extraction of the fibre, spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, tailoring and the final point of sale (not to mention the kilometres travelled at each stage).

Find out moreIs the fabric of your jeans stretchy?
How to find out:
Start by checking the material composition of the fabric on the inside label.
Look for the percentage of cotton content. If it is more than 95%, then choose the No option.
If you can't find the label, you can check if there are any deformations in the fabric (usually in the crotch area of the thighs and knees or bottom). This will indicate that the percentage of elastane is high. If it exists, choose the Yes option. If not found, choose the No option.
Yes, my jeans are stretchy
Unfortunately, these fabrics are not useful for our industrial reconfection and recycling.
If you no longer wish to use these jeans and no one in your family or friends can use them, we recommend that you look for a textile waste management container in your area and deposit them there for management.

No, my jeans are not stretchy
Great, we can give an infinite life to your jeans.
With them we will reconnect accessories and garments and with the leftover scraps we will produce new eco-recycled yarn.
The jeans come to us through various channels at the retail level.

Material
It should be noted that in order to reach mass production levels, the materials needed are purchased in bulk. This significantly reduces individual costs but not the environmental cost. Legally, companies do not have to assume this cost, so it is not reflected in the final sale.

VAT
Statutory taxes associated with that product.

Business profit
It is here, and in labour, that the biggest difference between a mass consumer product and an ethical economy product is most noticeable.

Management
This percentage is related to the internal management of the company and its expenses. It is the minimum that needs to be sold in order to be able to cover salaries, etc.

Labour
When we talk about labour in textile sustainability, we often only refer to the final stage of garment making. This, along with fibre farmers, is one of the lowest paid sectors of the industry.
